DBA, DEV, BI
Apache Zeppelin can help not only the Data Scientist but also DBAs and DEVs to creating nice-looking, interactive, shareable dashboards, just using T-SQL…or more if you want to adventure into Markdown, Python and other exotic things. By definition of its own creators it’s a “A web-based notebook that enables interactive data analytics. You can make beautiful data-driven, interactive and collaborative documents with SQL, Scala and more”. And you know what? It now works also with SQL Server, Azure SQL and Azure DW!
In this session I will show how to download a specific version for SQL Server (that uses Docker), how to configure it and how to take advantage of all the Apache Zeppelin nice features available.
Why I Want to Present This Session:
The ability to turn data into visualization is vital today and Apache Zeppelin is just perfect for this. In addition is also free and open-source. What can you ask for more? While Power BI is very nice and powerful, sometimes you just need a way to quickly turn a query into a chart, put it into a dashboard and share it with end users. Apache Zeppelin is just perfect for this. Not to mention that it is gaining traction every day, and knowing it can be helpful for you career
