Database developers, R developers and DBAs
(We will assume that you have some basic knowledge of R. The examples will be on a very basic level, but we will not give an introduction to the R language)
How do you take an R script and transform it into R code that can run in SQL Server? SQL Server is a platform where you can operationalize your R code, but it is not always clear what changes are required to make your R code run inside of SQL Server and how to take full advantage of R Services. This session will cover how to ensure the script moves easily to SQL Server and still keeps semantic fidelity. In addition to that, we will also talk about ways that DBAs can bridge the gap and empower data scientists/R developers with this process.
Why I Want to Present This Session:
I want to provide a session that actually walks you through the practical process of moving an R script in to SQL Server and cover some challenges that people face in this process. I have not seen a lot of content out there on this topic. I hope that such a session will be helpful and work as a guide.
